Double Chocolate Pancakes
- In a small bowl, beat together the buttermilk, butter, brown sugar, vanilla and eggs until smooth granulated sugar.

- Combine the sugar and 1/4 cup water in a medium saucepan over high heat.
- Cook, without stirring or touching, until the sugar turns a deep amber color, 8 to 10 minutes.
- Slowly whisk in the warm cream and continue cooking until smooth and the mixture emulsifies, about 2 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the butter and salt. Cover and keep warm.
